"I have loved having the comfort of this new way of stitching. It’s been such a difficult time for me adjusting physically and mentally after being so sick...learning this gentle form of stitch has brought me so much quietness." -past student

"I love not caring about getting it done quickly, but my critic does creep in. Whenever I feel myself thinking about how long it might take or how slowly and infrequently I work on it I take a breath and remember that’s not what this is about."
-Shay, past student

"I am thinking of my running stitch as more of a meandering stitch, and the thread and I are working together to find our way."

"Thank you so very much. I think my timing on opening this class was perfect because I was definitely losing my center and beginning to feel a bit of panic. Watching your presentation helped ground that energy and remind me to simply be present. I will start my meditation cloth now with a much calmer, lighter heart."

I'm a contemplative mixed media artist, poet and enthusiastic art teacher.
Art making has always been my sanctuary—a space where I can slow down, create beauty, listen to my mind and heart, play, experiment, ask questions, feel joy and experience wonderful connections. I love color, pattern, texture and emotional expression through art making.
I believe creative expression is love in action. I love creating with other people and sharing what we make from a place of joy, care and warmth. Show and tell is one of my favorite activities!
