"I did my first 'nature weaving' this evening! I had an 1800's tin-type .. and added it to my 'rock weaving'. the rock I found on the mountainside where we live. This was lots of fun .. and I see lots more of these in my future." -Frannie

"My piece was made with an abalone shell fragment from the California coast, plain hemp for the warp and a multicolored hemp for the weft. I think I love the back as much as the front. Oh - and I’ve discovered that I really like to rub my thumb on the weave both as a worry stone type thing and as a mindful tool." -Shay

"What a joy this class was. I can’t wait to weave and weave some more. There are so many things one can do with this." -past student

"For many years I’ve been attracted to natures little offerings when I’m out and about strolling in the bush and this seems like a wonderful way to honour my findings. I love how the piece feels as it lays in the palm of my hand." -Krystyna

I'm a contemplative mixed media artist, poet and enthusiastic art teacher.
Art making has always been my sanctuary—a space where I can slow down, create beauty, listen to my mind and heart, play, experiment, ask questions, feel joy and experience wonderful connections.
I believe creative expression is love in action. I love creating with other people and sharing what we make from a place of joy, care and warmth. Show and tell is one of my favorite activities!
I am a Highly Sensitive Person (HSP), sober, Buddhist and live in Wisconsin.
